Ferguson Gemeny Jr.

Ferguson Gemeny, Jr., 81, of Colonial Heights, VA passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at his residence. Born in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late, Ferguson Sr. and Lena Julia Mason Gemeny. Mr. Gemeny was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Colonial Heights. He was a United States Navy Veteran and had retired from Sears as an Assistant Manager after 23 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Moore-Gemeny; three sons, Daniel Gemeny and wife, Kristen, Donald Gemeny and wife, Kate and David Gemeny; two daughters, Teri Sawyer and husband, Clevie and Alicia Adkins and husband, Jerry; seven grandchildren; three step-children; one brother, Robert Gemeny; and a sister, Carol Ann Scott. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in St Michaels Episcopal Church, 501 Old Town Drive Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend James Smith officiating.
