Flora "Flo" B. Pyles, 81, of Prince George County, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born to the late Fulton and Ruby Dot Blankenship on April 12, 1937. Flo was a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church, and a Licensed Practical Nurse who retired as a private duty nurse. She was a lover of reading, darts, fishing, bowling, and gardening. She was also a proud recipient of the Mrs. Firestone award. She is survived by her boyfriend of 40 years, Greg Lockhart; sons, Danny E. Pyles (Donna), and Eric Pyles (Samantha); grandchildren, Chris, Robbie, Kirsten, Tyler, and Jonathan Pyles, and Jessica, Ashley, and Brittany Brown; great-grandchildren, Zurri, Connor, Elizabeth, and Mazzie; and siblings, Shirley Shell (Wayne), Virgil Blankenship (Rosie), Ruby Wellington (Johnnie), Margie Balthis (Vernon), Bobby Blankenship (Donna), and Billy Blankenship (Debbie). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church, 6500 Middle Road, Prince George, Virginia 23875. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
