Florence Ekstrom

On October 9, 2020, Florence Carol Ekstrom got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 74 years old. Born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia, Florence was a proud wife, mother, daughter, and friend to so many. Anyone who walked through her door was family, and family was her proudest achievement. Married to the love of her life, Fred for over 45 years, she is also survived by her four children, Lisa Didrickson, (Rick), Danny Ekstrom, (Julie), Tracy Fiacco,  and Kristal Brown (Cliff) and five grandchildren that she adored, Josie, Dylan, Jamie, Cory, and Colton. Florence was welcomed into heaven by her mother, Lillian Mae Wright, her father, George Wright, and many other beloved family members. While Florence’s family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember her in a way that will honor her spirit. Florence’s family invites you to join them in her Celebration of Life at her lifelong church, at Oaklawn Baptist Church 7925 Hickory Road South Chesterfield, Virginia 23803, on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will follow the service at church.
