Florence Nichols

Florence Grammer Nichols, 99, of Sutherland, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2008 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Sallie Barlow Grammer and the widow of Harry C. Nichols. Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucille F. Harrison and a son, Lewis C. Nichols. She was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by three grandchildren, Lewis Nichols Jr. and wife Belinda of Chester, Deborah Nichols Giehll of Chester, and Leonard F. Harrison Jr. and wife Marie of Dinwiddie; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Nichols of Dinwiddie. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with the Reverend Jonathan Dundalow and the Reverend Ron Sowers officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (tonight) at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
