Floyd Rogers Jr.

Floyd Allen Rogers, Jr., 68, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 19, 1947 to the late Floyd Allen Rogers Sr., and Peggy Smith Rogers and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Jean Fisher and Patricia Rogers Watson. Mr. Rogers was a United States Navy Veteran, a member of the Central Virginia Relic Hunter's Association, Dinwiddie Moose Lodge and the Kiwanis Club. He is survived by his son, Kevin Allen Rogers and wife, Kim Dobson; grandchildren, Addyson and Emoree Rogers; numerous nieces and nephews; and a caring special friend, Patricia Jordan Melvin. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday September 13, 2015 in the Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Dr. Yvonne Jones Bibbs officiating, Pastor of 6th Baptist Church. Interment will be private.
