Fonda Miller

Fonda Brown Miller was a caring mother, grandmother, and friend. She left this world on Monday, August 2, 2021, at the age of 61. She was born on September 22, 1959, in Hopewell, Virginia. Known for her bubbly personality, Fonda made friends that felt like family, and greeted all with kindness and a big smile. She worked for LB Water as an Administrative Assistant for many years. She loved traveling to new places often, especially to any body of water! Above all, Fonda enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, as well as her beloved dog, Bailey. Fonda was preceded in death by her sister, Treena O'Neill.  She is survived by her two sons, Wesley Miller (Anna) and Thomas Miller (Erin Edmonds); four grandchildren, Lynne Fernette, Brody Miller, Lillian Miller, and one on the way in a few weeks; one great-grandchild, Alec Martinez; her mother, Patricia Hopkins Pridy, and sisters Rhonda Poirier and Deborah Harper. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021, at City Point Restoration Church of God, 2300 Bluefield St, Hopewell, VA 23860, followed by a visit to her final resting place at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester, Virginia.  In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for charitable donations to The American Lung Association, www.action.lung.org or The ASPCA, aspca.org/donate.  Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
