Frances Allen

Frances Ellen Allen, 77, of Prince George passed away, July 24, 2008 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Betty Ann Simmons Jones. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Alan Dressler, two brothers, Robert H. Jones, Jr., and Boyd Marion Jones, and a sister, Louise Hazel Meril. She was employed with Allied Signal as an operator for 28 years. She is survived by her husband, Bill Allen; sons, Hamilton Alexander (Chuck) Dressler and wife Vickie Leigh of Charles City, Robert Keith Dressler and wife Joanne of Colonial Heights, and Tony Lee Dressler of Sandston; sister, Dorothy Jones Helmintoller of Eagle Rock; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the home of Bill and Fran, 14200 Gatewood Road, Petersburg with the Rev. Braunda Ridley officiating. Arrangements by the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road.
