Frances Brigman

Frances Hood Brigman, 77, of Prince George, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Thomas B. Hood and Glenn Hutcherson Hood, and was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon R. Brigman; a brother, Thomas B. Hood Jr.; sister, Shirley H. Stargardt. Mrs. Brigman was a longtime bus driver for Prince George County Schools and a retail demonstrator for Sam's Club in Colonial Heights. She was a member of Powers Memorial Baptist Church in Hopewell, and had a love for the outdoors and gardening. She is survived by two sons, Curtis R. Brigman (Kathy) and Mark A. Brigman (Deborah); daughter, Sheila B. Reeves (Timmy); grandchildren, Shannon Wallace (Sterling), Casey Hylton (C.J.), Michelle Reeves, Steve Dowdy, Traci Branch (Kevin), Daniel Morissette (Crystal), and Carrie Morissette; great-grandchildren; brother, Joe E. Hood; numerous, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805 with the Reverend Dr. Robert Breckenridge officiating. Interment will be private.
