Frances Tatum Joyner, 84, of Chesterfield, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Johnston Willis Medical Center. She was born November 9, 1937 in Petersburg, Virginia to the late John Allen and Mary Walker Tatum, and was preceded in death by her husband, Glyn Carroll Joyner; and grandson, Jason Deming.
Mrs. Joyner was a lifetime member of Tabb Street Presbyterian Church. She loved to quilt and made quilts for each family member. She also enjoyed crafting and her extensive doll collection. She is survived by three daughters, Pamela Joyner Sions and her husband Steve, Kimberley Joyner Deming and her husband Jonathan, and Glynda Carol Joyner; grandchildren, Amanda, Nathan, Tatum, and Alexandra; great-grandchildren, Logan, Nicholas, Gabriel, Olivia, Alex, Brynlee, Violet, and Piper; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Southlawn Memorial Park 1911 Birdsong Road S. Prince George, Virginia 23805. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
