Frances Moody Menster of Colonial Heights died Friday January 2, 2009 at John Randolph Medical Center, Hopewell. She was the daughter of late James Marvin Moody, Sr., and Nonie Tatum Moody, she was also the widow of Earl J. Menster Sr., and was preceded in death by three sons James Moody Menster, Stephen J. Menster and Earl J. Menster Jr. Frances is survived by two daughters Katherine Fender and husband Harold B. Fender, Jr., of Chester, Joanne Vohun and husband Thomas A Vohun, Jr., of Disputanta, four granddaughters Amanda Fender, Angela Vohun ,Christina Vohun, Peggy Powroznick, two grandsons Thomas A. Vohun III., and Michael A Fender, one sister Eloise M. Unsworth of Deltona, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Wednesday January 7, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Gene C. Tatum officiating, Ernest M. Holleman Jr., will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will be in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends Tuesday January 6, 2009 from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
