Frances Williamson

Frances Overby Williamson, 84, of Dinwiddie County, VA passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Vista Park Memory Care Center. Born in Mecklenburg County, VA she was the daughter of the late Lem and Lodema Parker Overby; and was also preceded in death by her husband, William A. Williamson, Jr.; and five brothers, Melvin, Herbert, Homer, Lemmie Lee and Wilson Overby. Mrs. Williamson was a lifetime member of Grace Baptist Church and had retired from Dinwiddie County Public Schools. She is survived by her children, Louis Payton Williamson and wife, Patsy, Barbara Sabol, Anna Lucy and husband, Richard, Robin Peters and husband, Joe and William Kevin Williamson; five grandchildren, Richard Lucy, Jr., Jason Lucy, Matthew Sabol, Michael Peters and Steven Peters; one great-grandson, Jason Lucy "J.C.", Jr.; three sisters, Mary Emma Seate, Laura Newton and Lonie Bet Hite; a special sister-in-law, Mary Williamson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA with the Rev. Raleigh Nunnally, officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Rd, Petersburg, VA 23805.
