Francis S. Quinn Jr., 90, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Colonial Heights Health Care. He was the son of the late Francis S. Quinn Sr. and Alicia Githens Quinn. Mr. Quinn was a U.S. Army veteran having served during WWII in the 36th Infantry as a Tank Destroyer Unit Commander. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Colonial Heights American Legion Post #284, and the 40 & 8 Voiture #1530. He is survived by his wife, Beth M. Quinn; sons, William F. Quinn and wife, Diane of Colonial Heights, Michael D. Quinn and wife, Dawn of Richmond, Joseph J. Quinn and wife, Kelli of San Diego, California, and Robert H. Quinn and wife, Norma of Wilmington, North Carolina; a daughter, Mary B. Crist of Colonial Heights; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights with Fr. Lou Ruoff, Celebrant. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with a prayer service by the Knights of Columbus at 8:00 p.m..
