Franklin McArthur Lundie, 69, of Chesterfield, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011 at John Randolph Medical Center. Born in Chesterfield County, he was the son of the late Alfred C. and Larkie McFadden Lundie. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Leo L. Lundie, Alfred L. Lundie, Carlton W. Lundie, Elizabeth Lundie Driskill, Kenneth M. Lundie, and Donald L. Lundie. Mr. Lundie attended Immanuel Baptist Church, retired from C. E. Thurston & Sons as a contractor at DuPont in Richmond and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club since June 18, 1963. He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Faye Sea Lundie; a son, Franklin McArthur Lundie Jr. and wife, Shelley McGrath Lundie; grandchildren, Franklin M. (Mac) Lundie III, Lily Claire Lundie, Elias McGrath (Eli) Lundie, and Lana Brooke Lundie; a brother, Ronald R. Lundie and wife, Brenda of Chesterfield; a sister, Patricia Ann Lundie Rose of Chesterfield. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 in Immanuel Baptist Church, 620 Lafayette Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Fred Adkins and the Reverend Dr. Randall Hahn officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
