Franz Antis

Franz Antis, 79, of Disputanta, VA passed away on November 7, 2016. Born in Yugoslavia, he was the son of the late Stefan and Katharina Frieden Antis; and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Francie Antis and Susanna A. Howard; and one brother, John Frieden. Mr. Antis was a longtime member of the Millwright Local Union #1402. He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian S. Antis; four children, Franz J. Antis and wife, Lisa M., Eston R. Antis, Stefanie A. Westfall and husband, Joseph P. Westfall, III and Christopher E. Antis and wife, Kristine A.; five grandchildren, Joseph P. Westfall, IV and wife, Ashley, Tucker L. Westfall, Patricia R. Westfall, Heath J. Antis and Tristan E. Antis; three brothers, Stefan Antis and wife, Elinor, Josef Antis and wife, Carolyn and Michael Antis and wife, Michele; four sisters, Katharina Ross and husband, William, Frieda Cales, Anna Bryant and husband, Collis and Maria Bennett and husband Roger; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Ivor Baptist Church. Interment will be private. The family is being served by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ivor Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Antis.
