Fred Thomas Yeatts III, 66, of Chesterfield passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at his residence. Born in Blackstone, Virginia on January 18, 1955, he was the son of Mary Ann Daniel Yeatts and the late Fred Thomas Yeatts Jr, and was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ann Jones. Fred was a long-time resident of Petersburg before moving to Chesterfield in 1982. He retired from DuPont in February 2019 after 40 years of service, most of which was working swing shifts. Fred enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was very excited about being a Papa. He was always willing to lend an ear or dish out advise from his life experiences. He had a passion for hot rods, knew a thing or two about building them and loved car shows. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Angie Leigh Gusley Yeatts, daughters, Crystal Balke (Glen), Leighann Yeatts (Ned Frljuckic) and Amber Yeatts; a very special nephew who was the son he never had, Alex Yeatts (Katy and family); grandchildren, Elena and Elvis Frljuckic; mother, Mary Ann Daniel Yeatts; brothers, Eddie Yeatts (Tootsie) and Teddy Yeatts (April); sisters, Debbie Henshaw (Mike) and Cindy Lowman (Terry); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members including devoted aunt, Gail Toney.
