Freeman F. Browning, 75, of Carson passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018. Born February 6, 1943, he was the son of the late Freeman F., Sr. and Alice A. Browning, and was also preceded in death by his sister, Anne B. Mosley; and infant brother, David Browning. Freeman was a member of Monumental Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and in video ministry for over 10 years. He retired as a machinist for Dupont after over 25 years of service, and later worked part-time at Advanced Auto Parts for a few years. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sandra M. Browning; children, Tracy B. Dorgan and husband, Martin, and Heath F. Browning and wife, Melanie; grandchildren, Ethan and Evelyn Browning; sisters, Irene B. Trogdon and Helen B. Wilkerson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Monumental Baptist Church, 2925 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, VA 23805, with the Reverend Duane Guridy officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George. The family will receive friends Friday night, December 21, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S.
