Freida Starr

Freida M. Starr, 81, of Petersburg, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at her residence. She was the widow of Lewis Edward Starr and the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Widner. Mrs. Starr was preceded in death by two sons, Russell W. Starr and Kenneth Starr. She was a member of the Monumental Baptist Church in Petersburg. Mrs. Starr is survived by her children, Michael Starr of Petersburg; two daughters, Linda Melchionno of Massachusetts and Katheryn L. Starr of Petersburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011 in the Petersburg chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory 3935 S. Crater Rd Petersburg, 23805 with the Reverend Barry Ginn officiating. Burial to follow in Amelia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia at 1P.M. The Family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 2-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home
