Garry F. Marcum, 83, of Colonial Heights, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. He was born on October 10, 1938, to the late Hardin F. and Avoline Marcum, of Huntington, West Virginia, and is also predeceased by his twin brother, Larry, and his wife, Nancy.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Garry Marcum (Catherine), of Midlothian; his daughter, Sherri Willingham (Craig), of Colonial Heights; three grandchildren, Cason, Carson, and Avi Willingham; a sister, Judy Messinger (Jim), of Proctorville, Ohio; a special sister-in-law, Judie Allen Marcum, of Bramwell, West Virginia; a special friend, Patricia Kight, of Colonial Heights; and a host of family and friends.
Garry was a forester and retired from Stone Container, now Westrock, in Hopewell, Virginia. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved photography. Garry was a kind and gentle man who leaves behind a warm and loving legacy for his loved ones to cherish.
A gathering of farewell to Garry will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with Pastor Ken Cornett of Midlothian Baptist Church officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, in Huntington, West Virginia, 5547 West Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, West Virginia, 25705 on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com
