Gary Jarratt

Gary W. Jarratt 53, of Dinwiddie passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Dinwiddie Health Care Center. He was born September 6, 1962 and was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley D. Jarratt. Gary was a graduate of Dinwiddie High School Class of 1980 and a graduate of Virginia Tech University Class of 1985. He was a member of Readville Baptist Church and retried from the United States Postal Service after many years as a mail carrier. After he retired, he moved to Florida, for a several years, before moving back to help on the family farm. Gary had a love for computers and Facebook. He is survived by his father, Lee Roy Jarratt; a sister, Judy Jarratt Catasus; dear friends, Frances Babb, Sandra Christian, Gloria Kollmann. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Lawrence Jarratt officiating. Interment will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Readville Baptist Church Cemetery, 20158 Princeton Road, Stony Creek, Virginia 23882.
