Gary Laine

Gary Alan Laine, 63, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020.  Born in Petersburg, on December 27, 1956, he was the son of the late Liston L. Laine Sr. and Charlotte Brockwell Laine.  Gary was a member of the Colonial Heights Moose Lodge. At the age of 16, Gary began working for Joyner Paint and Frame, and later became the proprietor of Laine’s Paint and Frame for almost 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Thomason Laine; stepdaughter, Karen Ailstock (Stan); step-granddaughter, Megan Ailstock; brother, Liston L. Laine, Jr. (Marchetta); sister, Brenda Kestner (Jerry); half-sister, Priscilla McCarthy; and several nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Colonial Heights Fire & EMS, P.O.
