George Abernathy

George Allen Abernathy, Jr., 53, of South Prince George, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 20, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, George Allen Abernathy, Sr. and his mother, Thelma Elmore Redford. George is survived by his wife, Tammy Clark Abernathy; two sons, Eric Allen Abernathy and Timothy Allan Abernathy; one grandson, Collan Mason; step-mother, Peggy Clark Abernathy; one sister, Wanda Marie Jones; two step-brothers, David Eugene Clark and Bernard Lee Clark (Diana); and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. George worked in maintenance at Tindall Concrete for over 20 years. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2018 in the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 South Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
