George Bowers Iii

George Francis Bowers III, 86, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020.  He was born on September 5, 1933 in Massachusetts to the late George Francis Bowers Jr. and Dorothy Crerie Bowers.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Marie Bowers.  Mr. Bowers retired from Hercules in Hopewell.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bowers; three sons, David Bowers (Lorrie), Mark Bowers, and Kevin Bowers (Kim); grandchildren, Kathryn Bowers, Jarryd Bowers, Blake Bowers, Kyle Bowers, Ethan Bowers, Brett Lois Bowers, and Haley Bowers; great-grandchild, Camdyn Riley; brother, Barry Bowers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2020 at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S.
