George Jones

George Washington Jones 91, of Chesterfield, passed away Saturday October 6, 2012 at his residence. He was the son of the late Johnny Jenkins and Mercy Nora Jennings Jones and was preceded in death by a son Danny R. Jones. Mr. Jones was a WW II., United States Navy Veteran. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife Thelma F. Jones, sons; Ronnie C. Jones of Prince George, George W. Jones of Chesterfield, eleven, grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, sister Mercy Nora Emory of Chesterfield. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday October 10, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Ricky Collins officiating. Interment Private. The family will receive friends Tuesday October 9, 2012 from 7:00 to 8: 30 p.m. at the funeral home.
