George Marshall Jr.

George Clinton "GC" Marshall Jr., 64, of Matoaca, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his residence. Born in Richmond, Virginia, he was the son of the late George Clinton Marshall Sr. and Gladys Deal Marshall and his devoted step-mother Elinor Bloom Marshall. Mr. Marshall was retired from the Philip Morris Tobacco Company, and as a Conductor for Amtrak, also as a Real Estate Broker. He is survived by his wife, Marie H. Marshall; a daughter, Deborah Marshall Wallace and her husband and devoted son in-law Wally of Matoaca; grandchildren, Trey and Addison Wallace, and his devoted Yorkie "Sam". George loved being with his grandchildren and enjoyed cooking, gardening, singing, and being on the water. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend George Northington Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
