George Zevgolis, 61, of Chesterfield, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Chippenham Medical Center. Born in Hopewell, he was the son of the late Stephen P. and Nancy Pate Zevgolis, and was preceded in death by a sister, Toni Gladwell. "The Governor," as he was referred to by his friends, was a member of Greenwood Presbyterian Church, and a former member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG). He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Melissa J. Zevgolis; his children, Angelique Michelle Zevgolis of Colonial Heights, and Caleb Mitchell Cox of Chesterfield; five brothers, Gene Zevgolis and wife, Michelle, Paul Zevgolis, Ricky Zevgolis, Alan Zevgolis and wife, Brenda, and Rodney Zevgolis and wife, Kathy; a sister, Kiki Herin and husband, Paul; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and his two companions, Smudge and Bart. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 in Greenwood Presbyterian Church, 7110 Woodpecker Road, Chesterfield, Virginia 23838 with the Reverends Sylvester and Beverly Bullock officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Greenwood Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
