Georgie Belangia

Georgie Moody Belangia, 94, of Colonial Heights died Monday, August 24, 2009 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Mayo and Henry H. Furrow and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. Belangia, daughter, Norma M. Johnson. She was a member of Highland United Methodist Church where she taught the John Kibler Bible Class. Survivors include a son, John A. Moody and wife, Betty C. of Chester; a daughter, Wanda Moody Gandy of Alabama; grandchildren, Dana Etter, Donna Gravely and other numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hayden Furrow and John Furrow; three sisters, Marguerite, Judith and Jane; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend William Rawlings officiating. Interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George.
