Georgie Weeks

Georgie L. Weeks, 84, of Petersburg, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Vista Park Memory Care Center in Petersburg. She was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary Kvasnicka Vejnar, and the widow of Curtis Lee Weeks. Mrs. Weeks was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by her children, Michael Weeks and wife, Anne of Richmond, William Weeks of Buffalo Junction, Mary Grant and husband, Robert of Macon, Georgia, Franklin Weeks and wife, Jo Anne of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Diana Martin and husband, Douglas of Dinwiddie; ten grandchildren, Christopher, Angela, Franklin Eric, Charles, Justin, Krystal, Patrick, Stacey, Averi, and Kristen; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Fields and husband, Clarence of Dinwiddie; a brother, Robert Vejnar of Prince George; and numerous nieces & nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church, 17001 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Dr. Ray Haskett officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at church.
