Gerald Barr

Gerald Eugene "Jerry" Barr Sr., 80, of Prince George, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Chippenham Hospital. Born in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Lewis E. and Elsie Grace Hunt, and was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Ray. Mr. Barr was a United States Navy Veteran. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Barr; four daughters, Lois Westphal and husband, Greg, Gerri Barnes and husband, Terry, Paula Pickard, Liane Bullard and Fiancé, David; three sons, Gerald E. Barr Jr., Franklin Barr, Monte Bullard; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Cindy White and husband, Jeff, Judy Fogleman and husband, Shorty; numerous nieces and nephews, along with many friends. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, 11302 Merchants Hope Road, North Prince George, VA 23860 with the Reverend Roger Eastridge officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3-4:30 P.M. at the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 3935 S. Crater Road Petersburg, VA 23805.
