Gerald Tomlinson

Gerald Wayne Tomlinson, 47, of Emporia passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Tomlinson was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Thrailkill. He is survived by his loving grandmother who raised him; Rosa Powell Ferguson of Emporia; his mother Ida M. Hartsoe of Petersburg; four brothers, Michael Toombs and wife, Karla, Harry Thrailkill and wife, Julie, Terry Hartsoe and wife, Sharon and Scott Hartsoe and wife, Sandra, three sisters, Yvonne Coates, Vivian Padgett and husband, Roger, Wanda Brooks and husband, Rodney and Juanita Williams and husband, Tony. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road with the Reverend J. B. Jarratt officiating. Interment will follow, Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
