Geraldine Wells

Geraldine Wesson Wells, 76, of Colonial Heights passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at her residence. Born January 10, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Wesson. She was a longtime member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, where she enjoyed helping out in the nursery, and was a regular participant in many different activities with the Colonial Heights Senior Center. A loving mother and grandmother, Geraldine spent her life taking care of her cherished family, something she enjoyed more than anything. She is survived by her loving husband, Alfred Garland Wells, Jr.; children, Tony Garland Wells, Steven Christopher Wells, Diane Patricia Dale and husband, John; grandchildren, Lauren Leigh Wells, Gavin Rex Dale, Erica Renee Dale; siblings, Robert Aubrey Wesson, Jr. and wife, Virginia, Ronnie Wesson and wife, Debby, Nancy Hall and husband, Sonny; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in Cutbanks Baptist Church Cemetery, 24203 Cutbank Road, McKenney, VA 23872. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday night, March 1, 2019 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
