Gerdi Brashears

Gerdi Brashears, 71, of Church Road, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013. Born in the Czech Republic, she was the daughter of the late Friedrich and Viktoria Peschl Wessely. Gerdi is survived by her husband, Tyson Brashears; a sister, Renate Ristl of Germany; a brother, Fritz Wessely of Germany; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous friends; and special friends, Judy & Marshall Foster and their children, and Nancy Lewis. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Dr. Russell Jurek officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Virginia Veteran's Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, Virginia 23002.
