Gertrude Wilson

Gertrude A. Wilson, 88, formerly of Warren Avenue, Matoaca, died Monday, December 17, 2012 at her residence, the Crossings at Ironbridge in Chesterfield County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyle Wilson. A native of Trevenbrietzen, Germany she was the daughter of Heinrich and Anna Ulrich. She is survived by her son, George H. Wilson and wife, Gail; two grandsons, Michael G. Wilson and Steven J. Wilson all of Chesterfield County. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with the Reverend Mike Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Colonial Heights Baptist Church, 17201 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
