Gilbert Hanzlik Sr.

Gilbert E. Hanzlik Sr., 70, of Prince George, passed away June 22, 2011 at the Levinson Heart Center at Chippenham Medical Center. He was the son of the late Randolph B. and Mary K. Hanzlik. Gilbert is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Anne M. Hanzlik; sons, Gilbert E. Hanzlik Jr. and wife, Stephanie, Michael T. Hanzlik and wife, Karen; daughter, Deborah A. Hanzlik, grandchildren, Kristin H. Kelly and husband, Jason, Courtney M. Hanzlik, Kathryn S. Hanzlik, Joshua M. Hanzlik, Grayson T. Hanzlik and Adam S. Hanzlik; two brothers, Randolph Hanzlik and wife, Carol, Edwin H. Hanzlik; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Church of the Sacred Heart, 9300 Community Lane, Petersburg, Virginia 23805, with Father Jay Wagner celebrant. The family will have visitation the day of the service from 10-11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His remains will rest at the Petersburg Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 3935 S. Crater Road. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to Church of the Sacred Heart Building Fund
