Gilbert Jordan Jr.

Gilbert "Sonny" Jordan Jr., 74, of Dinwiddie County, passed on Sunday, June 5, 2016 of natural causes. He was the son of the late Gilbert Jordan Sr., and Mary Ann Jordan and was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Jordan; two sisters, Barbara Hartman and Elizabeth Brown; a brother, Thomas Jordan and three step children, Lynn Keatley, Paul "Chuck" Barron and Mark Barron. Gilbert served the Tri-Cities as a general contractor for over 40 years and enjoyed boating, spending time on the water and talking with people. He is survived by two daughters, Dale Reeves and husband, Rudy and Kim Beckner; grandchildren, Jordan, Colin and Brooke Reeves, Lindsay King and husband, Dane, Hannah and Colby Beckner, Mike Collius and Cody Barron and his wife, Sierra; great-grandchildren, Jaxson Reeves, James Collius, Wyatt Collius, Brayden and Noah Barron. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
