Gisela E. Crockett, 80, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Erick F. and Klara Berger Dessau. Mrs. Crockett is survived by a son, Patrik Crockett of Carson; a daughter, Patricia Montague and husband, Arthur E. of Dinwiddie; four grandchildren, Camden Crockett and wife Stacy of Prince George, Candice Barnack and husband, Jamie of Staunton, Alex Montague and wife, Paula of Dinwiddie, and Amanda M. Rodriguez and husband, Javier of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four great-grandchildren; and an older sister living in Germany, a special friend, Mary Stech and family of Dinwiddie; and many devoted neighbors. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with Pastor Barbara Blakes officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Rd. The family wishes to thank Dr. George, Dr. Kondragunta and their staff for the care given to Mrs. Crockett. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local SPCA or Humane Society.
