Gladys Bailey

Gladys L. Bailey, 92, of Petersburg, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2020. She was born in Chesterfield, Virginia on September 13, 1928 to the late Grason and Fannie Lipford. She was preceded in death by her sons, Jimmy Ricks and John Ricks; and 13 siblings. Ms. Bailey is survived by her daughter, Jane C. Stambaugh (David); granddaughter, Lisa Olsen; niece Stacy Lipford; and sister-in-law, Laura Lipford. She retired from Brown and Williamson after 30 years then worked at Blandford cemetery for 17 years. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday October 31, 2020 at Blandford Cemetery, 319 S Crater Rd, Petersburg, VA 23803. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
