Gladys Semeli

Ms. Gladys Semeli was born on January 30, 1955, in Halifax VA. She was the daughter of the late Aubrey Sr. and Martha Logan. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Hodges and brother, Allen Logan. She was called to be with the Lord on January 8, 2022, at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg VA. She was a resident of Prince George, VA.  Gladys served our country as a Sergeant First Class (SFC) of the United States Army where she retired after 20 years of service. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and the occasional slot machine. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Halifax VA and attended church in Prince George VA.  Left to cherish her memories is her son Sio Semeli Jr. (Pamela), six grandchildren Makayla, Sio III, Justin, Matthew, Tatiana, Jerod, their mother Tonya Haywood and five great grandchildren. Siblings: Doris Lawson (Charlie) of Halifax VA, Betty Thorne (Richard) of Prince George VA, Aubrey Logan Jr. of Halifax VA, Bennie Logan (Barbara) of Indiana, Sandra Wilson (Jerry) of Danville VA, Annette Shelton of North Carolina and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia.  Interment will follow with Full Military Honors in Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia.
