Glenice P. Perkinson, 87, of Chesterfield, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Retreat Hospital. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Clifford A. and Rebecca Gibbs Parrish, and was preceded in death by a grandson, Greg Parrish. Mrs. Perkinson was a member of Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, William Frank Perkinson; four daughters, Diane Parrish and husband, Lin of Smithfield, Audrey Bollinger and husband, Charles of Chesterfield, Loretta Rose and husband, Donald of Chesterfield, and Dixie Palmer and husband, Jep of Jonesboro, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Becky Dollins, Tracy Burke, Scott Bollinger, Julie White, Bubba Rose, Ben Palmer, Josh Palmer and Faith Palmer; 12 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Bailey, Wyatt, and Aiden Dollins, Morgan and Elliott Burke, Austin, Alanah, and Tyler Rose, Lauren, Summer and Gabby White; and a nephew, David Parrish. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
