Gloria Johnston

Gloria Jean Otey Johnston, 72, of Dinwiddie, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2017 after a period of declining health. Born on June 22, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Ralph Crenshaw Otey, Jr. and Lillian Gibbs Otey; and was also preceded in death by her sister, Margaret O. Wood. She is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly R. Johnston and Deborah S. Castleberry; two grandchildren, Amber R. Watkins and Justin E. Watkins; two great-grandchildren, Maia E. Mirro and Avery W. Watkins; two sisters, Carol S. Johnston and Frances J. Whitmore; two brothers, Ralph C. Otey, III; and William T. Watkins; with numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights.
