Mr. Gordon R. Huber, Chief Warrant Officer, U.S. Army, Retired, age 78, passed away at McGuire Veterans Hospital on Friday, January 29, 2010. Mr. Huber was a U.S. Army veteran of 23 years who served our country during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. A 32nd degree Master Mason, Mr. Huber was an active member of the Blandford Masonic Lodge. He was a native of Raven Rock, West Virginia and has resided in Prince George County since 1966. After retiring from the U.S. Army, he worked for the HON Company for 16 years and retired in 1994. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. John R. Huber and Mrs. Bonnie M. Oldfield. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kazuko Huber; his two sons, James Huber and Thomas Huber; his two daughters, Patricia Lucas and Gloria Holmes, their husbands and wives, grandchildren, Gabriel Huber, Shanna Byrd, Tara Holmes, and Amber Hogancamp, great-grandchildren, Lucas and Lennon and two sisters, Mrs. Wilda Phillips of Louisville and Bethel Anne Cochran of New Matamoras, Ohio. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday February 2, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road with the Reverend David Prather officiating.
