Grace Beasley

Grace H. Beasley, 99, of Chester, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. Born in Ettrick, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Grace Tucker Hopson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Arthur D. Beasley Sr. and sisters, Dorothy Hopson, Margaret Traylor (Bill), Rachel Mann (Reggie) and Mary Rosa Licata (Johnny); a brother, William Hopson (Bea). Mrs. Beasley was a member of Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 50 years, and was a former member of the Greater Petersburg Women's Bowling League Association. She is survived by her daughter, Jo Anne Beasley of Chester; her son, Arthur D. Beasley Jr. of Texas; grandchildren, Davis Beasley (Cheryl Lynn) of California, Debra Beasley of Texas and Adam Beasley of Texas; great-grandchildren, Zachry & Wyatt Beasley of California. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Nathan Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Enon.
