Grace Newcomb

Grace Mae Newcomb, 95, of Dinwiddie passed away on April 4, 2021 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born May 7, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Henry M. and Jennie V. Tatum, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Garland Newcomb; four brothers, George “Buster” Tatum, John “Cuttie” Tatum, Gordon Lee Tatum, James Early Tatum; two sisters, Helen T. Wade, Mary V. Hawkins; and nephew, Raymond Lee Tatum. She is survived by her nieces, Edith Thomas, Kathy Parent, Patsy Pennley; and other extended family members.  In the words of Mrs. Newcomb, “I would like to thank my beloved niece, Edith Thomas, for all the love and kindness you gave me. I love you.”

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 in Rowanta United Methodist Church Cemetery, 16118 Old Stage Road, Dinwiddie, Virginia 23805.
