Gregory Kerr

Gregory Van Kerr, Sr., 64, of Petersburg, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at his home. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Robert Van Kerr and Camay Gordon Lewallen and was also preceded in death by his step father, Everette Lewallen and his great grandchild, Caleb T. Thomas. Mr. Kerr was an avid outdoorsman, as he loved to go camping and fishing. He worked for Reynolds Aluminum for 18 years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 882. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Janet Kerr; his children, Gregory Van Kerr, Jr. and wife Cyndi, Katherine Kerr Walker and husband, Dennis, Cynthia Kerr, Angela Camay Ferrell and husband Matt, Cory Kerr and fiancée, Shawn Umstead, Lindsay Kerr and fiancé, Troy Scott, Matthew Reese and wife, Amy, Nikki Seamster and husband, Eric; sister, Sandy Kerr; 20 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with Pastor Jim Burton officiating. Interment will be Private.
