TSGT Grover W. Harless USAF (Ret.), 75, of Dinwiddie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2015 with his family at his side. Mr. Harless was born in Montcoal, West Virginia on March 23, 1940. He joined the Air Force in 1957, a Vietnam Veteran, and proudly served his country for 20 years. He worked for the State of Virginia as a toll collector for 20 years. Mr. Harless leaves behind his wife of 52 years to cherish his memory, Phyllis Harless; his son, Tony and wife, Lisa of Church Road; three daughters, Meredith and Vicki Harless of Chesterfield; and Janis Emory and husband, Barry of Spring Grove; seven grandchildren, Buck, Amanda, Michael, Cory, Tabitha, Brandi, and Ashley; six great-grandchildren, Alexis, C.J., Jasmine, Derek, Mariah and Benjamin. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, Virginia 23002 with Chaplain (LTC) Melvin W. Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
