H. Delma Martin, 77, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2010 at her residence. Born in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Archer S. and Hallie E. Gregory Wilson. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Colonial Heights Ward. She is survived by her husband, Donald Edward Martin; her daughters, Cindy Balazik and husband, Thomas of Disputanta, Roxanne Brandeberry and husband, Bill of Colonial Heights, Herberly Smith and husband, Ronnie of Griffin, Georgia, Kelly Hill and husband, Keith of Courtland, and Kandy Howard and husband, Gary of Chester; eleven grandchildren, T.J. Balazik Plant City, Florida, Nicole Gachuzo of Henrico, Jared and Adam, Brandeberry of Colonial Heights, Amy Smith of Provo, Utah, Joshua Brandeberry of Provo, Utah, Marty Smith and Leah Brandon of Griffin, Georgia, Robbie MacLeod of Charlotte, North Carolina, Nicholas and Kayleigh MacLeod of Courtland; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Val Jean Wilson, and A. S. Wilson Jr. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 501 Compton Road, Colonial Heights, Virginia with Bishop Dallas Lauchner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. The family would like to thank the staff of Odyssey Hospice for their wonderful compassion.
