Harold Drumheller

March 24, 1935 — July 16, 2018

Rt. Worshipful Harold Eugene Drumheller, 83, of Hopewell passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018. Born March 24, 1935, he was the son of the late Leonard H. and Laura M. Drumheller, and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ernie and Noah Drumheller; and sisters, Edna Drumheller Davis and Gertrude Drumheller O'Brien. After four years of dedicated service to his country, Mr. Drumheller was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He worked at Firestone as a production foreman for 25 years, and later retired from his position as a production operator at Allied Chemical. Harold was a member of the Dupont Masonic Lodge #289 AF and AM for 53 years and served as District Deputy Grand Master in 1999. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Bartley Drumheller; sons, Harold Drumheller of Evington, VA, Barry Drumheller of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughters, Becky Drumheller Baugus (Andy) of Chester, VA, Christine Drumheller Andrews (Marshall) of Chester, VA; grandchildren, Brandon and Kaitlyn Baugus, Matthew and Alison Drumheller, Will and Alex Andrews; brother, Morris Drumheller (Carol) of Georgetown, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, with Ken Hendricks officiating. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, N. Prince George. Masonic Rites will begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday night, July 19, 2018 at the funeral home with a visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dupont Masonic Lodge #289 Scholarship Program, 730 W Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860.
