Harold Suter

Harold Lee Suter, 83, of Richmond, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010. He was the son of the late Casper A. and Grace Andrews Suter. Mr. Suter was a member of the Seventh Street Christian Church, Richmond. He was one of the charter/founding members of Colonial Christian Church, Colonial Heights. Mr. Suter was a United States Navy Veteran having served during WWII, and a member of the Colonial Heights American Legion Post #284. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lucille B. Suter; sons, Eric Suter and wife, Charlene of Sutherland, and Mark Suter and wife, Karen of Richmond; a granddaughter, Allison Rouse and husband, Brian of Chesterfield; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Rouse. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Carolyn Schwarz, and the Reverend Susie Hillary officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Colonial Christian Church, Capital Improvement and Building Fund, 295 Dunlop Farms Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
