MSG Harry W. Booth Jr., USA (Ret.), 79, of Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Washington, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Harry W. Booth Sr. and Veda Salsberry Booth. He was preceded in death by a grandson, David M. McKenney. Mr. Booth began with the 11th Airborne Division Band, and later retired at Fort Lee as the Enlisted Band Leader. He was an avid bowler, and owner of several Booth Pro Shops in the surrounding areas, and loved woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Booth; a daughter, Judy A. Taylor and husband, Troy; children, Lisa, Matthew, and Mark McKenney; grandchildren, Justin Moore and Will McKenney; son, William C. Booth and wife, Linda; children, Mary and Megan Booth; grandchild, Caden Furbush; son, Gary A. Booth and wife, Penny; children, Angela Croft and husband, Rob, and Megan Bellamy; grandchildren, Zachery, Joshua, and Tyler Croft; son, David L. Booth and wife, Sheri; children, Brandi, David Jr, Ryan, and Nicholas Booth; grandchild, Shayne Booth; son, Daniel B. Booth and wife, Carolyn; children, Sydney Greer, Austin and Travis Booth. A Funeral Service will be held at1:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with military honors. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the funeral home.
