Harry Thomas Jr.

Harry Lee Thomas Jr., 82 of Colonial Heights died Tuesday April 21, 2009 at his residence. He was the son of the late Harry Lee Thomas Sr. and Ethel Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Army. He served in WW II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Harry is survived by his wife Leona Thomas, his daughters Patricia Willmer of Chester, Brenda Vincent and husband Buddy of Chester, Linda Maillard and husband Mike of Richmond, Deborah Ballard and husband Stephen of Dover, Delaware, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, three sisters Gladys Good and husband Syke of Luray, Virginia, Dorothy Pence and husband Ervin of Elkton, Virginia, Millie Shacklett of St. Petersburg, Florida, and a special family friend Shirley Root. A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday April 24, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend J. Paul Furrow and the Reverend David S. Wiley officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors in Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, Virginia.
