Harry Hillman Walker, 84, of Matoaca, VA passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Mecklenburg, VA he was the son of the late John Garland and Martha "Eva" Parham Walker; and was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Billie F. Walker; a brother, John Walker; and two sisters, Mary Crittenden and Alease Shelton. Mr. Walker was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dinwiddie and had retired from American Tobacco with over 30 years of service. He was a private pilot and was a member of AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association). Mr. Walker is survived by his four children, Gary H. Walker (Joy) of Sutherland, Steven W. Walker (Debbie) of S. Chesterfield, Cynthia W. Archer (Donald) of S. Chesterfield and John T. Walker (Angela) of N. Dinwiddie; nineteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Cousins of Colonial Heights, Lucille Salmon and Shirley Smith both of Chesterfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church, 25213 Ferndale Rd., N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803 with his grandson, Rev. Dwayne Walker, officiating. Interment will follow in East Matoaca Cemetery, Matoaca, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Assembly of God Church in memory of Mr. Walker.
